Lynae DePriest

My performance life started in theatre, which I still also study and perform today. I received my B.A. in Theatre and Performance Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. That's also where I started doing a lot of sketch and improv. I started studying at UCB in 2014 and have taken classes with Keisha Zollar, Brandon Gardner, Shaun Diston, Lydia Hensler, Zack Willis, Chelsea Clarke, and John Timothy. Outside of improv, I also do storytelling and poetry performance.

As a coach, my signature is building people up and shaking off that feeling of not being good enough or funny enough. Let's face it classes are great, but sometimes they can leave us feeling super insecure and trying to figure out why the hell we decided to jump into comedy in the first place. Sound familiar? Book me and I will have you confident, grounded and having soooooo much fun! I specialize in virtual improv coaching for all ages, including after school. The pandemic is still very real for a lot of us, but that doesn't mean you have to stop doing what you love!
