James Dwyer

I was a performer and teacher at UCB for the past decade. My credits at the theatre include The Law Firm, ASSSSCAT, poHa, Strife, One Man Harold, Harold Night, and more. Currently I perform around the city with my team Duchovny and occasionally sit in on a few shows in the city. I also host a podcast called Stinkers with Caroline Cotter and Maggie Widdoes. My improv training has primarily been through the UCB Training Center where I learned from the likes of Beck Drysdale, Will Hines, Shannon O'Neill, Anthony Atamanuik, Silvija Ozols, and Charlie Todd among others.

As a coach/director, my primary focus is to help you and your team elevate your comedic performance. I'm interested in helping you develop a show designed to entertain by tailoring your show to your group's strengths. I'm well-versed in The Harold, The Spokane, Monoscene and The Movie form. I'm also experienced in experimenting with structure and form.

I am fully vaccinated/boosted and available for in-person coaching.
